DAY 1 – NAIROBI
Arrive and transfer to Boulevard hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 –NAIROBI – NANYUKI – 200 Kms
Depart while cycling from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi at 10.00am, heading towards north through Thika Town, for early lunch at Karatina town, after lunch depart further north through Kiganjo, Chaka, Naromoru to arrive at Nanyuki Airstrip at 2.30pm, Visit Laikipia Wildlife Forum where you will have a lesson of about Laikipia, How Human, wildlife and Livestock live together and how the forum has so many initiatives of from wildlife, livestock, agriculture and other conservation activities which has earn Laikipia as one of the leading tourist destination in Kenya. After that you will cross the equator, before reaching the market town of Nanyuki at 4.00pm. Nanyuki Town was founded in 1907 by English settlers; Nanyuki is home to the main base of Kenya’s Air Force. It’s popular amongst tourists because of its proximity to impressive Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest peak at 5199 m. It’s also home to the Mount Kenya Safari Club, now a hotel, but in the 1960’s an exclusive club whose members included Winston Churchill, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope and also its 15 kilometers to the famous Ol pajeta conservancy which is the home of all the big five and other species and also the world chimpanzees sanctuary. Arrive at 4.00pm, after checking in, you can relax and swim till 6.00pm, when you will have to gather in the Conference hall for some special speech from our guest,
for Dinner and overnight stay at the famous Sportsman’s Arms Hotel Nanyuki.
DAY 2: NANYUKI – OL PAJETA CONSERVANCY (SWEETWATERS) – 18 Kms
Have Early Morning Breakfast, Later depart with the vehicle at 7.30am to Ol Pajeta Ranch; you have to be in Sweetwater’s early in the morning so that you can get to see many animals grazing, the animals always graze in early morning till around 10.00am then they go to their resting places and in the late afternoon from 3.00pm till late evening. This is the biggest and most exciting game reserve in Mount Kenya region popularly known as Sweet Waters. The conservancy has several Hotels in the 22,000 acres of land. And this is also the biggest Chimpanzee sanctuary in the world. The Ranch is about 15Km west of Nanyuki town.
This conservancy is the home of all the big five and many other animals and birds,
The Rhino, Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, and the Elusive Leopards, forms the big five family. The park is so exciting as while in the park on the clear days, you have the best vies of the magnificent Mount Kenya; you will have Lunch in Sweet Waters Tented Camp within the conservancy, Later in the afternoon at 3.00pm continue with the game drives till 4.30pm return back to the camp
for Dinner and overnight stay at Sweet Waters Tented Camp.
DAY 4 – NANYUKI – SANGARE – 50 Kms
After breakfast cycle back for about 50kms on your way to Nairobi to Sangare Ranch. Arrive at 9:30am; later depart for more game drives in Solio Ranch. In this ranch, we have the largest concentration of Rhinos in the world. Later return back to Sangare tented camp and late lunch at 2.00pm. Relax for dinner and overnight at Sangare Tented Camp.
DAY 5 – SANGARE – NAIROBI – 185 Kms
Have morning breakfast, depart to Nairobi cycling. Have lunch in Blue post hotel in Thika town for dinner and overnight at Silver Springs Hotel Nairobi.
DAY 6- NAIROBI CITY – 20 Kms
After breakfast, depart to Nairobi national park for game viewing. Lunch at Rangers Restaurant. In the late afternoon, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 5.00pm.
