MOUNT KENYA HOLIDAY PACKAGE    


 

DAY 1: NAIROBI – NANYUKI
Depart from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi at 8.00am, heading towards north through Thika Town, for early lunch at Outspan Hotel Nyeri, after lunch depart further north through Kiganjo, Chaka, Naromoru to arrive at Nanyuki Airstrip at 2.30pm, Visit Laikipia Wildlife Forum where you will have a lesson of about Laikipia, How Human, wildlife and Livestock live together and how the forum has so many initiatives of from wildlife, livestock, agriculture and other conservation activities which has earn Laikipia as one of the leading tourist destination in Kenya. After that you will cross the equator, before reaching the market town of Nanyuki at 4.00pm. Nanyuki Town was founded in 1907 by English settlers; Nanyuki is home to the main base of Kenya’s Air Force.  It’s popular amongst tourists because of its proximity to impressive Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest peak at 5199 m.  It’s also home to the Mount Kenya Safari Club, now a hotel, but in the 1960’s an exclusive club whose members included Winston Churchill, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope and also its 15 kilometers to the famous Ol pajeta conservancy which is the home of all the big five and other species and also the world chimpanzees sanctuary. Arrive at 4.00pm, after checking in, you can relax and swim till 6.00pm,
for Dinner and overnight stay at the Famous Naromoru River Lodge.

DAY 2: NANYUKI – OL PAJETA CONSERVANCY (SWEETWATERS)
Have Early Morning Breakfast, Later depart at 7.30am to Ol Pajeta Ranch; you have to be in Sweetwater’s early in the morning so that you can get to see many animals grazing, the animals always graze in early morning till around 10.00am then they go to their resting places and in the late afternoon from 3.00pm till late evening. This is the biggest and most exciting game reserve in Mount Kenya region popularly known as Sweet Waters. The conservancy has several Hotels in the 22,000 acres of land. And this is also the biggest Chimpanzee sanctuary in the world.  The Ranch is about 15Km west of Nanyuki town.  This conservancy is the home of all the big five and many other animals and birds, The Rhino, Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, and the Elusive Leopards, forms the big five family. The park is so exciting as while in the park on the clear days, you have the best vies of the magnificent Mount Kenya; you will have Lunch at  Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp within the conservancy, Later in the afternoon at 3.00pm, Depart and driven back to the  Serena Sweetwater’s Tented Camp. Where you will enjoy the recreational facilities for the Hotel, you can also swim and relax for Dinner and overnight stay at Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp Nanyuki.

DAY 3: NANYUKI – ABERDARES.
After morning breakfast, depart at 8.30am to Aberdares national park for game viewing from the Hotel Balcony. Check in at Outspan Hotel at 11.30am, Relax waiting to have lunch, later at 2pm, transfer to treetops Hotel for game viewing; the park is home to rare species, the Bongo antelope which is only found in this National park. There are also other species to be found in this park.  This is the place where Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain was made a queen as she was staying at the famous tree top Hotel which is also located in the park. For dinner and overnight at Treetops Hotel Aberdares

 

DAY 04: NYERI – KARATINA – NAIROBI.
After morning Breakfast, you will be transferred to Nyeri town for full breakfast in Outspan Hotel Nyeri, After that You will do farewell to Mount Kenya Region for you will have to start your Journey back to Nairobi from 10.00am through Nyeri – Karatina to arrive in Safari Park Hotel at 1.00pm for Hot Lunch, After Lunch return back home after a very exciting tour of Mount Kenya Region.
