DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR A WEDDING IN KENYA
- Passport copies or Kenyan ID card for the bride and groom
- Birth certificates for the bride and groom
- Addresses and occupations of the bride and groom
- If divorced – copy of divorce certificate
- If widow/widower – copy of death certificate
- If single – affidavit sworn in and stamped by a solicitor or
- Commissioner for oaths stating that you have never been married before
- If names have changed by deed poll – legal proof
- If adopted, adoption certificate
- If under the age of 21 years – evidence of consent by parents or
- guardians in form of an affidavit stamped by the notary public
